Kasbahs, Film Sets and the Road over the High Atlas

Cross the High Atlas over the spectacular Tizi n'Tichka pass and discover the gateway to the Sahara. Visit Ait Benhaddou, the UNESCO-listed fortified village where countless films were shot, enjoy lunch in Ouarzazate – our hometown – and explore the Taourirt Kasbah and the famous Atlas Film Studios before returning to Marrakech. It is a long but rewarding day, with plenty of stops for photos and rest along the way. Included: private transfer with an experienced English-speaking driver, lunch in Ouarzazate, and English-speaking guiding where needed. Not included: entrance fees, drinks, other meals and personal expenses.

Early Morning Departure over the High Atlas

Leave Marrakech early in the morning for a scenic drive of about four hours over the Tizi n’Tichka pass, with stops at panoramic viewpoints along the way.

Ait Benhaddou

Explore the famous Ait Benhaddou kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the filming location of numerous movies and series.

Lunch in Ouarzazate

Enjoy lunch in Ouarzazate, the “door of the desert” and our home town.

Taourirt Kasbah & Atlas Film Studios

In the afternoon, visit the historic Taourirt Kasbah and the renowned Atlas Film Studios.

Return to Marrakech

Late-afternoon departure back over the mountains, arriving in Marrakech late in the evening.
